Sophia Models is one of Calgary’s longest-standing and most respected modeling and talent agencies. Known for representing high-level fashion and commercial talent, they’ve held a strong reputation in the industry—but their digital presence hadn’t kept pace. Their website was over a decade old, their branding assets were outdated and low-resolution, and their social media had been inactive for nearly three years. Thats where we come in!
PROBLEM
The existing website was built on an old blog-style system with limited flexibility and poor visual presentation—far from what a modern modelling agency needs. The branding was outdated, with graphics that didn’t translate well to current standards, and the imagery didn’t reflect the caliber of talent Sophia Models represents.
The client was also hesitant about changing the website, worried that the overhaul might feel too foreign or complicated to manage. They needed something modern, but timeless—and most importantly, user-friendly.
SOLUTION
We began by doing precedent research on the world’s top modeling agencies and used that to guide the evolution of the Sophia Models brand. We modernized the existing branding—refining the original logo and visual language into something higher quality and more versatile, while still maintaining its style and recognizable composition.
We redesigned the website from the ground up to reflect the elegance, beauty, and professionalism Sophia stands for. The site now properly showcases models, includes high-resolution imagery, and is built on a much more intuitive backend. We trained the client to use it themselves, making sure everything was streamlined, simple, and easy to manage—even for someone without tech experience.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive—from clients, talent, and the models themselves. In parallel, we reactivated the Sophia Instagram account, developed new content using fresh photography and updated brand assets, and executed a consistent posting strategy.
