PEERA
Designing the Spice Into the Story
Services: Branding · Graphic Design · Website Design
Guyanese cuisine meets Canadian fine dining at Peera—a culinary experience where cultures and flavors intertwine through reimagined generational recipes. Named after a beloved West Indian dessert, Peera embodies the essence of something sweet and nostalgic, with just enough spice to surprise you. It’s a restaurant concept rooted in warmth, family, and fire—and it needed a brand identity that captured exactly that.
PROBLEM
Peera was a completely new venture with no existing brand, visuals, or digital presence. The client came with a powerful concept, but no graphic assets, no logo, and no clear design direction. To bring Peera to life, VOX had to dive deep into Caribbean cultural precedents, food heritage, and design symbolism to build a brand from the ground up.

SOLUTION
Starting with cultural research, VOX crafted a brand system that paid homage to the roots of West Indian cuisine while presenting it through a refined, modern lens. The logo, inspired by the tamarind plant native to Guyana, Trinidad, Jamaica, and Barbados, ties the identity to a familiar Caribbean flavor and symbol of home. The visual language balances softness with vibrancy—mirroring the Peera dining experience itself.
We built every graphic element from scratch, infusing the visuals with texture, warmth, and a sense of storytelling. From brand colors and patterns to typography and icons, every detail was chosen to reflect Caribbean heritage with a contemporary edge.
The website was designed to feel as inviting and unique as the food—an online extension of the dining room where culture and creativity collide.
